January 2026

January 2026, Gouache, 12x18”, 2026

Growing up in California has deeply influenced my creative voice. Los Angeles is a city shaped by dreamers and changemakers, it has taught me that art is more than just expression; it carries a responsibility. It’s a place where voices are formed and amplified, and where creativity has always been connected to social and cultural change. The start of 2026 has been nothing less than shocking and depressing. I’ve had to read articles and listen to lawyers advising on how to navigate unprecedented events. It’s not a time I ever expected to live through, but history has a way of repeating itself in surprising ways.
