Hair Holds Memories Pt.2

Hair Holds Memories Pt.2, Gouache, 18x12”, 2026

There is a belief that hair holds memory, and in releasing it, I felt an unburdening—an opening into a new chapter of my life. I have done this ritual many times, and each time it becomes an act of renewal, both therapeutic and transformative. Looking back, I can trace where I was in my life through my hair; it stands as a quiet archive, a living marker of who I was and who I was becoming.
